Shunned again today

as i walked through the streets of my hometown i walked past a 'sister'tm).

at first i didn't recognize her as i wasn't paying attention.. she sort of gave me a bit of a smile (or did she have wind/gas?).

after i has passed her, it dawned on me who it was.. i'd given her family lifts to meetings and socialised with them.. i then realized she'd shunned me.

i cannot believe the difference in my vision.

even with glasses my vision in the left eye was poor.

but i can now read a 12 font fairly clearly without the glasses.

No one who leaves "the truth" is ever happy?

for years, i was told this..... " anyone who leaves the org is bitter, sad, and worse off, why do you think they come back???

guess what guys i am the opposite, now i quit cold-turkey (looking back, i should have faded correctly) i am planning on going to the memorial this month just to hear all "the friends" tell me how much they missed me.

since i have left the meetings, (jan. was my last meeting, i think).

El Guapo, Wow. I am so happy your health has improved. No waiting on Jehovah. lol Are you really going to Memorial at your old Hall or are you just pulling our leg? If you do go, are you fitting into an old suit, or are you going to buy a new one?

i said no (not that i know of anyway) so here are a few he came up with.. 'honk if you're a zombie'.

Moved to Florida and an elder from my old Michigan hall shows up at the door.

i moved to florida from north michigan a year ago.

i have not been to a kh in over 15 years, that said they know who i am at my old hall.

i got a knock at the door and it was an elder from my old hall.

I guess if they really cared about you, they could have made a point of visiting you while you still lived in the territory in N. Michigan.

So yes, I have to agree, they are not seeking you out for old times sake, like they missed you, they are on a mission to report back what they see and hear, to your old Hall.

Good Morning Kim! It's nice to know your real name. When I read your up-date post, about getting shunned, and your daughter and SIL, being written off FB, by so called "Friends", I wanted to write, Welcome to the Club". lol Your illustration is apt about long time JW friends, who now scatter like cockroaches when the light is turned on.

Here...we know, basically, what everyone has gone through so we can be kindred spirits and support for each other. This is a wonderful site, that I truly appreciate being a part of. I can show up, when I feel like it, comment if I want. And don't have to say amen (agree) with anything if I don't want to. Yay freedom!
